A fractal is a complex infinite pattern that are derived from simple structures that multiplies in different scales. Fractals concept is widely used in Mathematics, Computer Science and Medicine where doctors can differentiate between healthy cells and cancerous cells. Fractals are everywhere in Nature - e.g., Trees, icicles, human brain, lung etc. Oak tree showcases a nice fractal image in the wintertime with the absence of leaves. I took the a few pictures of oak trees on our street just before sunset.
